We are going to make a bold claim and say that everyone is tempted towards addiction, whether it is money, appearance, lifestyle, TV and the list goes on. Dealing with addiction can be a challenging and complex process, but as believers, we can find hope and support in the Word of God. In this post, we will explore ten Bible verses that can help combat addiction and offer encouragement to those who are struggling.


"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." (Philippians 4:13) - This powerful verse reminds us that we can overcome any challenge or addiction with the strength of Christ.


"The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) - When we feel overwhelmed and broken, the Lord is always there to comfort us and guide us towards healing.


"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." (2 Timothy 1:7) - With God's strength, we can have the self-discipline and love needed to overcome addiction.

But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
