    Bible verses for each of the fruits of the Spirit.  


    1. Love: “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” - 1 John 4:16 

    2. Joy: “Nehemiah said, ‘Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.’” - Nehemiah 8:10 

    3. Peace: “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” - Romans 5:1 

    4. Patience: “Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience.” - Colossians 1:11 

    5. Kindness: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” - Ephesians 4:32 

    6. Goodness: “For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth.” - Ephesians 5:9 

    7. Faithfulness: “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” - Proverbs 3:3 

    8. Gentleness: “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” - Ephesians 4:2 

    9. Self-Control: “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” - 2 Timothy 1:7
