    Bible verses about sacrifice.

    1. John 15:13 (NIV): “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

    2. Ephesians 5:2 (NIV): “And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

    3. Hebrews 9:28 (NIV): “So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”

    4. Luke 9:24 (NIV): “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.”

    5. Proverbs 21:3 (NIV): “To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.”

    6. Matthew 9:13 (NIV): “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

    7. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (NIV): “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”

    8. Mark 10:45 (NIV): “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

    9. Romans 12:1 (NIV): “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

    10. Hebrews 13:15-16 (NIV): “Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

These verses highlight the profound nature of sacrifice, both in terms of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice and the call for believers to live sacrificially.
